On May 22, 2018, United Bank, Hartford, Connecticut, and Webster Bank, N.A., Waterbury, Connecticut, entered into a purchase and assumption agreement pursuant to which United Bank will purchase from Webster Bank six banking branches located in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island with total deposits approximating $120 million.

Luse Gorman served as legal counsel to United Bank in the transaction. The Luse Gorman team consisted of Scott Brown and Marc Levy.

United Bank has approximately $7.1 billion in total assets and serves communities through its network of 53 full-service branches and loan production offices throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut.
