On February 1, 2025, Freedom of Maryland Federal Credit Union, Bel Air, Maryland, completed its merger with Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union, Hunt Valley, Maryland. Freedom of Maryland FCU, as the continuing credit union, has approximately $573.4 million in assets on a combined basis following the merger.
