On November 30, 2023, Evans Bancorp, Inc., Williamsville, New York, the holding company for Evans Bank, N.A., completed the sale of its insurance subsidiary, The Evans Agency, to Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

Evans Bank, N.A. is a commercial bank operating 18 branches throughout Western New York, with $2.2 billion in assets and $1.8 billion in deposits at September 30, 2023. The Evans Agency was a full-service insurance brokerage agency offering life insurance, employee benefits, and property and casualty insurance.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is a global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm, servicing approximately 130 countries around the world through its owned operations and a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
