On February 1, 2021, Bridge Bancorp, Inc. (“Bridge”), Hauppauge, New York, the holding company for BNB Bank, successfully completed its merger of equals with Dime Community Bancshares, Inc. (“Dime”), Brooklyn, New York, the holding company for Dime Community Bank.
Each share of Dime common stock was converted into 0.648 shares of Bridge common stock. Bridge was the legal acquiror in the transaction, but changed its name to “Dime Community Bancshares, Inc.” in connection with the merger.
The combined company has over $12 billion in assets, over $9 billion in total deposits, and over 60 branches spanning Manhattan to Montauk.
