Gregory Sobczak represents financial institutions and holding companies in a wide range of matters, including corporate reorganizations, securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, mutual holding company reorganizations, corporate and securities law, general bank regulatory matters and data-processing related agreements.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sobczak clerked at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and interned at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.

Representative Transactions:

  • Represented Investors Bancorp, Inc. in its conversion from a mutual holding company to a stock holding company and concurrent $2.2 billion public offering of common stock.


  • Represented Provident Financial Services, Inc. in its $124.4 million acquisition of Team Capital Bank.


  • Represented Keefe Bruyette & Woods, Inc. as underwriter’s counsel in a $36.4 million common stock offering by a Pennsylvania corporation.


  • Represented Kearny Financial Corp. in its conversion from a mutual holding company to a stock holding company and concurrent $717.5 million public offering of common stock.
